The Illes Formigues (Ant Islands) are an archipelago made up of sixteen islets that owe their name to the silhouette they form, similar to the small insects. They are located between Palamós and Calella de Palafrugell and sometimes the waves completely cover them. Administratively they belong to both municipalities, thus leading to a historic controversy.
"At War in Formigues Islands" is LAFOSCA's particular way of telling this story.
